Welcome to Poets and Pints Night in Ely, Minnesota. Poets and Pints Night are every third Thursday at Northern Grounds (downstairs) from 7 pm to 9 pm. Look for posters and more information about our featured poet(s), as well as on this page. All ages are welcome, alcohol and coffee beverages will be available from the Northern Grounds menu. Poets and Pints Night is open to the public, there will be an open mic as well a one or more featured poets, and your host is Tim Stouffer.

August Featured Poet - Vince O'Connor

Vince as been a published writer since fourth grade, when his poem about protozoa was first published. Over the years he's published poetry in various print and online publications, numerous magazine articles, training material for various organizations, and software technical manuals. He also has a play, "Nearly Departed", published by Players Press, and a book "Pushing AppleWorks To The Limit" published by Compute! Books.
